Who we are and how to contact us
Atlas English Institute is an English tutoring service based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. For questions about your information, access or correction requests, withdrawal of consent, or privacy concerns, contact christopher.sjoberg@gmail.com.
Information we collect and its source
We collect information you or a learner’s parent or guardian provide: your name, email address, the learner’s age group and, if you choose, English level, lesson format, location or time zone, availability and learning goals. We also receive the selected package, currency, trial price, page language, source page and your consent record. We do not request identity documents, payment card details or sensitive personal information in this form. Please do not include these in the free-text fields. Hosting and form-delivery providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser details and request logs for security and delivery.
Why we use it and your choice
We use the information to answer your enquiry, match a teacher, arrange a trial or lessons, record your package preference and manage related communications. Name, email, learner age group and consent are required. Without them we cannot process this online request; you can instead contact us directly. Other learner details are voluntary. This consent is for your enquiry and lessons, not marketing. We do not add you to a marketing mailing list through this form.
Children and parents
An adult learner or a parent or guardian should complete the form. A parent or guardian may provide a child’s age group and learning needs on the child’s behalf. Please use the adult’s name and contact email and avoid unnecessary details about the child.
Who receives information and overseas processing
Booking details are sent through FormSubmit to Atlas English Institute’s Gmail inbox, operated by Google. Atlas English Institute may share relevant learning and scheduling information with the teacher assigned to your enquiry or lessons. The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites and its infrastructure providers. FormSubmit, Google and hosting providers may process data outside Malaysia under their own terms and privacy policies. If you choose WhatsApp or WeChat, those providers receive the information you send under their own policies. Only information needed for the stated purpose should be shared. Information may also be disclosed where required by law. We do not sell booking information.
Storage and security
The website and form endpoint use HTTPS. The form includes a spam trap and limits rapid repeat submissions. Your details are not stored in the browser by Atlas English Institute. Booking emails remain in our email system while needed to manage your enquiry, lessons, disputes or legal requirements, and should be deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. FormSubmit states that its submission archive is retained for 30 days; other providers apply their own retention rules. No online service can promise absolute security. Do not send passwords, identity documents or payment details through this form.
Your rights and requests
You can contact us to request access to or correction of your information, withdraw consent, limit processing, or request deletion where applicable. You may also request data portability where applicable under Malaysian law. Withdrawal can affect our ability to arrange or continue lessons; it does not undo processing already lawfully carried out. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity before acting. You may raise concerns with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Commissioner at pdp.gov.my.
Browser storage, links and updates
Atlas English Institute stores your chosen language in local storage and a recent-submission time in session storage to reduce duplicate requests. You can clear these in browser settings. We do not add advertising or analytics cookies to this site. Hosting providers may use their own security or authentication technology. External services have separate privacy notices. We will update this notice when our handling of information changes. English and Bahasa Malaysia versions are available, alongside Chinese, Japanese and Arabic translations.
